The students were impressed by the stories of the long stay astronaut in space
American astronaut Bill McArthur, special Madatech visited, National Museum of Science, Technology and Space in Haifa and met about 200 school children from the city.
Meeting, held in the exhibition Mars in three dimensions, the astronaut told the students about his experiences of four space flights in which he participated (three US space shuttles and a spaceship 'Soyuz' Russian) and from six months spent in the International Space Station.
Students, the schools' circles "," real "and the Sisters Carmelit", were more interested in the daily life in space, special missions were carried out and wanted to hear about the special feelings experienced during the stay in space and preparations for a planned flight.
Astronaut told students that they live in a special period in which there is a great chance to come into, and encouraged the students to invest in science subjects that will improve their chances of success become involved in expanding space. "My preparation for a career as an astronaut started when I was in high school and I was good at math and science," said MacArthur.
