Excelling students from Ethiopia visit MadaTech

As part of Engineers Without Borders Association’s activity, Agriculture Faculty students at the Hebrew University, together with students from Ben Gurion University and Tel-Hai College, are taking part in a widespread activity in Ethiopia, with the objective of developing local agriculture.

Local teenagers studying at “Kallamino” high school for excelling students at Makala are taking part in the project and are working in the agriculture farm located at the school campus. A group of students arrived at Israel and took part in a technology tour, during which they visited MadaTech, universities and other museums.

The students arrived at MadaTech together with students from “Hugim” high school located in Haifa. The group enjoyed visiting Fab-Lab, Tubix and touring the museum along with MadaTech’s CEO, Eli Schermeister.

This is the second year in which “Kallamino” high school students visit MadaTech and seven participants who took part in last year’s visit were accepted to the Technion as civil engineering students of the international school.

This special project is supported by Gelfand Family Charitable Trust.
