Be sure to sign up to the second conference in Hanukah. In continuance of the last conference, its’ goal is improving awareness, educating about protecting the environment and raising awareness about using nonpolluting sources of energy.
The conference’s goal and target audience
The conference’s goal is to promote awareness to the mentioned subjects, in order to create a behavioral change, assimilate values of protecting the environment and identifying the needs and requests of teachers and inspectors who work at the ministry of education and address these subjects. Additionally, an effort will be made In order to join other schools to the green schools project run by the ministry of education and the ministry of Environmental Protection, designed to reduce the use of natural and environmental sources in schools.
The conference serves as a stage that presents the work and actions of teachers, students and professionals that are involved in educating about green energy and environment and in developing and implementing technologies dealing with these matters.
In the following conference we will address:
• Teaching the matter of energy in different scientific, technological, financial and social aspects.
• Demonstrating classes which incorporate laboratory activity on the topic of energy and environment.
• A verity of school workshops.
• Finding ways to increase the effectiveness of environmental subjects instruction, while combining projects as: recycling building a composter and producing solar / hydraulic / from waste energy.
And what did we have in the first conference?
• Lecture by Merrilee Harrigan about “Green Schools” program operating in the U.S.
• Review by Dr. Perri Lev-On about educating for sustainability in schools around the world.
A verity of demonstrations and workshops about green energy and environment:
• Building a solar vehicle (we even had a racing contest)
• Chemical Analysis and purification of Water.
• Finding ways to increase the effectiveness of environmental subjects instruction, while combining projects as: recycling building a composter and producing solar / hydraulic / from waste energy.
• Reports about students’ projects , syllabuses, activity competition between schools, companies and industrial factories
• Innovative green products created by different companies and industrial factories.
