A Lecture at MadaTech: Ancient Watercraft Structure

The lecture will address the structure of ancient watercraft, emphasizing on the findings from the underwater digging, which took place along the country's coast, in particular at Maagan Michael (400 BCE), Dor (500-850 CE) and Acco (The Ottoman period).
Yaacov Kahanov, is a professor at Haifa University, at the The Leon Recanati Institute for Maritime Studies and at the department of Maritime Civilization. His main fields of research are ancient watercraft structure and sailing at ancient times.
