The teachers’ continuing education program is the first stage of the main experiences program
As part of their preparation for the main experiences education program, teachers from Israel’s different sectors have been visiting MadaTech.
A bit about the program
This is the third year the program takes place at MadaTech. The main experiences program is based on collaboration between science museums, the pedagogical office – science wing – science and technology supervision in the ministry of education, the ministry of science and local authorities. The main experiences are meant to establish the knowledge and understanding of science and technology concepts, adequately to the curriculum, through the experience in the museum.
The project’s main target is to create a sequence of experiences in science museums, which support the curriculum.
Who is taking part?
32 local authorities are taking part in this year’s program, among them 172 schools, about 500 classrooms and 15,000 students. Each student will take part in a program which includes 3 sessions: an introductory meeting at school, a session at MadaTech and a summery session at school.
The age groups taking part in the program this year are 5th and 7th grade from all sectors: the Jewish sector, the Arab sector, the Druze sector and the Circassian sector.
