סיכום ליל מדענים 2015

5,600 visitors took part in the researchers’ night decade celebration in MadaTech. On September 21st, at 17:00 Madatech’s gates were opened for an evening of fascinating and varied activities about the brain. Sleeping, the nervous system, attention deficit disorders, concentration and illusions were all main parts of the lectures, the scientific demonstrations, activities for the entire family and a big national experiment.

So what did we have? Take a look:
• Sleep to remember – sleep to forget – Dr. Asya Rolls, Faculty of Medicine, Technion.
• The brain in the digital age – the dark side of the information revolution – Dr. Hagit Yarden, pedagogical director and science content editor at Brainpop Israel.
• Ritalin – A lifeline or hanging Rope – Dr. Jacob Genizi, children and youth neurology unit, Bnai Zion Medical Center, Haifa.
• A little mess won't cause any harm – Thoughts regarding brain activity – Dr. Omri Barak, Faculty of Medicine, Technion.
• Math and Thinking – Prof. David Blank, Department of Mathematics, Haifa University.
• “Deceiving the brain and the senses” a demonstration at the science park, carried out by MadaTech’s crew.
• Associations as a key to the unconscious – Dr. Elhanan Meirovich and the NeuroApplied team.
• Artificial intelligence – Robot Intelligence – The robotics team.
• Small scientists – an activity for children about sensing and the senses.
• Tours at MadaTech’s exhibitions.

You can taste a bit of the beautiful celebration in these photos.
